ABOUT US
Founded in 2015, Aawaaz (previously Project Aawaaz) started off as an organisation with a vision to change the way education is perceived in India. In a country where board curriculums restrict students to a cycle of rote memorisation and exams, Aawaaz modifies curriculums to make them more interactive. Focusing on critical thinking, general awareness and public speaking, we take classes in various schools for students from Grade 3 all the way up to Grade 12. Our curriculums inculcate these skills in students by valuing the role of contextualisation in education systems and employing a qualitative method of analysing student potentials as opposed to a standardised and quantitative one.
For the more senior students (Grades 9-12), we provide training in the fields of Debate and Model United Nations to help prepare them for various debating competitions and also use the acquired skills across different walks of life. Assisted by the training, our students have gone on to win numerous debating competitions and have also been selected for the World Schools Debating Championships. In addition to Debate and MUN, we also provide training in Theatre, Dance, Photography and Creative Writing to ensure that students are able to express themselves in ways that are most fitting to them.
With a gradual spread to schools in Delhi NCR, we were able to execute our curriculum in several different states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand to further our goal of making education holistic and accessible to all. We have also collaborated with various NGOs like Simple Education Foundation, Teach for India and St+art Foundation.
Aawaaz, as of 2020, has expanded to start various functions with one common goal; to make education holistic and accessible to all.
WHAT WE DO
